On August 29, 2024, the Mwanza District Council officially launched a project to construct essential infrastructure at Thetula Community Day Secondary School (CDSS), located in Traditional Authority Nthache. The project being constructed by SDK Engineering Limited includes the construction of a staff house, a pit latrine, and associated drainage facilities. Funded by the Governance to Enable Service Delivery (GESD) initiative, the project is set to be completed within 90 calendar days.
Thetula CDSS had been non-operational due to a lack of staff accommodation, and this development aims to revive the school, providing crucial infrastructure to restore its functionality. The project is expected to significantly contribute to improving the education system in the Mwanza District.
SDK Engineering Limited was chosen for the project due to its proven track record and extensive experience in delivering similar infrastructure projects.
